Mail Order Shipping Disclaimer:
For the safety of your animal and to ensure proper fit and function, all molds, casts, and completed devices must be shipped to and from your referring veterinarian’s office. PALS will not ship devices directly to customers under any circumstances. Your veterinarian will oversee delivery, fitting, and proper use of the device.
Mail Order Process.
No matter where you live, expert support is within reach. Our mail-order process makes it easy to get a custom orthotic or prosthetic for your animal, from your veterinary clinic to our fabrication lab and back. With your vet’s help and our step-by-step guidance, we ensure your pet receives a precise, professionally fitted device, designed for comfort, mobility, and a better quality of life.
Step 1 - Vet Referral & Casting
Your veterinarian completes the referral form and performs the casting. Both are sent directly to PALS by your referring Veterinary Clinic.
Step 2 - Review & Payment
Once we receive the cast, we’ll contact you to confirm details, collect payment, and help you choose your top 3 colors or patterns if colors are not indicated on the referral form. Full payment and color section are required before fabrication begins. See our Color Options page for available choices.
Step 3 - Device Fabrication
Our team custom-builds the device based on your pet’s cast. This process typically takes 3 to 4 weeks.
Step 4 - Device Shipped to Your Vet
Once payment and color choices have been received, the fabrication process typically takes 3 to 4 weeks to ensure accuracy, comfort, and function. Once our team has custom-build your pet’s orthosis or prosthesis, the device will be shipped to your referring veterinarian.
Step 5: Fitting Appointment
Your vet will call you to schedule a fitting and delivery appointment at their office.
Step 6 - Final Fit & Training
At delivery, your vet will ensure the device fits well, will demonstrate to you how to use it properly, review the wear schedule, and answer any questions.
Step 7 - Not Sure Yet? Request a Consultation
If you’re unsure about your pet’s needs or don’t have a VOP-experienced vet nearby, you can request an online consultation for $150. If you order a brace within three weeks of your consultation, we will apply the consult fee toward the price of the brace.
